Manipulating market research data, the Samsung and LG way

Samsung and LG are supposedly manipulating market research data, says the Korean branch of GfK.

"…both companies are making absurd claims that they are the No. 1 vendor
in specific consumer electronics market segments showing data that
their market share is the biggest only in a fragment of the market."

I can’t speak for LG, but how long has Samsung been doing such devious acts?
