Interests of the week

January 17th, 2006 | J Lee | Seoul Searching, Innovation, Books

Mot_0031An old roommate dropped by for the weekend on his way back to NYC after spending a couple weeks on business in Manila. An amazing piece of work he is. He’s completely random, something similar to the Brownian Motion. The previous day he was so worked up about hanging out in Tokyo/Shanghai/Beijing/Pyongyang for 24 hours before leaving for NYC. We even dropped by the COEX Air Terminal to check out flight prices. The serious contemplation began with a passing comment from another friend during lunch about visiting various neighboring countries. After finding it would cost $600 roundtrip to Tokyo or the unsavory visual of waiting 2 hours in line to check-in for Chinese destinations, we soon found ourselves drinking down beer and eating gamjatang in Apgujeong. This morning, he made breakfast out of gummi worms and a bottle of Franziskaner. Completely random.

This a complete random as well, but the next dog I get, I’ll name he/she "Pretzel."

The new job starts on Wednesday, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m uncertain about the people culture but I’m sure it’ll be positive and peaceful. I have a list of things to finish reading: Inside the Tornado and Democratizing Innovation.

The Lunar New Year holidays are Jan. 28-30 which is right around the corner.
