The Long Tail and Gomes

August 2nd, 2006 | J Lee | Books

To say the least, the debunking going back and forth between Gomes and Anderson is interesting. Reading Gomes’ WSJ piece on the Long Tail was very critical, and his analysis points out skewed numbers in comparison to Anderson’s story.  Statistics is about how you interpret the data… Anderson’s Long Tail tells a great story built on a sound premise. There’s insight avail for whatever interpretation you may have.

The head and tail theory does warrant a serious look into implications for the ICT biz, if there is one. For now this on-going heated debate will surely create and be testament to the long tail.
