‘Naked streets’ and safe chaos
Note to self: never listen to headphones while taking a stroll in China or India.
From observations here in Seoul.
On the city streets, there tends to be more vehicular accidents when traffic is light. The picture perfect scene is plausible as there is no telltale sign of oncoming disaster thus drivers are less defensive-driving. In the chaotic scenes of AM/PM rush hours however is a different story. Two scenarios are likely to happen. The first is a mob mentality, where one flow of traffic will group together to bully the remaining vehicles in the intersection after the traffic light change. The other is when all vehicles work together in solving the clogged intersection.
