Steve Ballmer Doesn’t Get It
It’s a always a comedy with Steve Ballmer. He’s probably upset that his kids are asking for one (remember how he prevented his kids from owning iPods).
Its not about the price tag or having a better feature. Its about how well the product satisfies the user’s expectations. And in the half-second time of instant gratification (point of purchase), its how the consumer connects to it and how well it achieves their values, aspirations and lifestyle statements.
