Seth makes a point of a product (iPhone) and the consumer audience (wanted or unwanted).

Of the other half who don’t want any part of the iPhone. How many of them will change their minds once:

  1. the product is available in the stores where people can see, feel, touch, or in other words EXPERIENCE what the PR machine had been ranting about
  2. their friends, colleagues and family members are getting it
  3. the product re-establishes the status quo of the user needs segment, product segment, user experience segment…
  4. the product BECOMES the trend
