Tattertools

April 20th, 2007 | J Lee | The Web

Seeking a bit of challenge as if I needed more to add to my already compounded life. I have decided to stick one foot out the box and test drive Tattertools, the Korean equivalent of Wordpress and Moveable Type. It’s a 2-year commitment; I admit using the term test drive would be pushing it but I want to emphasize that I won’t be dumping TypePad altogether. This month marks my 2nd year anniversary with TypePad, and in 2 years time will mark my 2nd with Tattertools. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have any complaints with TypePad to speak of. I just wanted to expand my horizon by getting a taste of what else is out there. In any case, I’ll be getting settled in and playing around with the new system over the weekend.

The move to the current Korean-only TT was to immerse myself in the Korean blogging environment, and as an incentive if you want to call it that, to re-learn Korean particularly reading/writing. Unwilling to reattend Yonsei Univ’s KLI or the pricey Berlitz, this is where TT comes in play.

Here I go.

BTW, for more info on TT check out Web 2.0 Asia.
