Just a random thought before I head to bed.

I’m staking out places to duplicate a bit of BBQ ‘ol Texas-style.

Here is my situation. I don’t have an open-air patio to air out the noxious smoke. Having it enclosed is too risky for burning down the building. I think I’ll try to avoid this option. It’s not really a viable choice to begin with.

So here are my options:
A. Go down to the city park with the stream running through it.
B. Head for the mountains.

Here is where logic is thrown out the window.
A. Cooking some meat in a contained fire within a smoking/grilling apparatus near a flowing water source. This is banned because of threat to public safety.
B. About this time of year just before typhoon season, it can be brutally dry and ripe for forest fires, yet this is where they adovate for grilling out.
C. Wait til typhoon season and have some gravy with it.

Hmm.
